Cozinha a quatro mãos / Four-hand cuisine

On the occasion of the IX Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the Italian Embassy in Lisbon invited the Ambassador of Taste Roberto di Pinto – chef of the Michelin starred restaurant Sine in Milan – for a unique gastronomic experience and a star-studded encounter of flavours.
Together with Portuguese chef Hugo Candeias from the restaurant Ofício, they created a special four-hand menu that mixes tradition and innovation. “Cozinha a quatro mãos” (Four-hand cuisine) is a 15-minute documentary about the process of creation of this menu.
From the shopping at the Alvalade Market to the plating details, chefs Di Pinto and Candeias unveil their perspective on concepts like roots, tradition and sharing.

Along 4 months, Miguel (owner of the restaurant Pigmeu) and his staff made several trips do Bairrada to talk, listen and cook with the people who could teach them the heart and soul of the culinary tradition of this region.
The result?
A full menu dedicated to Bairrada and a series of videos on Instagram and YouTube (”Pigmeu in search of Bairrada”) to share this precious knowledge with the world.
